EPICENTRE Exploratory Mission to the United Kingdom: Unlocking New Opportunities in the Agrifood Sector

As part of its continuous commitment to fostering international partnerships, the EPICENTRE Eurocluster supported an Exploratory Mission to the United Kingdom, focusing on unlocking new opportunities for SMEs in the agrifood sector.

The mission was organised by the Smart Food Cluster – LitMEA and carried out by Laura UturytėHead of International Affairs and Projects, who represented the cluster in a two-day visit to London on March 17–18, 2025. The mission brought together key diplomatic and industry stakeholders to explore trade links, promote innovation, and strengthen cooperation between Lithuania and the UK.

Strategic Dialogue at the Lithuanian Embassy

On March 17, Ms. Laura Uturytė met with Deividas Kliučinskas, Agricultural Attaché at the Embassy of the Republic of Lithuania in the United Kingdom. The meeting focused on strengthening bilateral ties and identifying practical ways to support the internationalisation of Lithuanian agrifood SMEs.

  • 🤝 Reinforced bilateral dialogue – The Embassy expressed strong support for promoting Lithuanian agrifood companies in third-country markets via the UK;

  • 🎯 Shared goals outlined – Ideas were exchanged on co-organising future activities and expanding strategic cooperation;

  • 🌍 Institutional synergy – Opportunities for alignment between the EPICENTRE project and Lithuania’s trade diplomacy efforts were discussed.
