Meet with project ISTOR supported by INGENIOUS Eurocluster

As cities and industries move towards a greener future, innovative solutions in sustainable infrastructure are essential. The Isolated Elevator (ISTOR) Project, supported by the INGENIOUS Innovation Grant, is pioneering a low-environmental-impact elevator powered solely by renewable energy sources.

About the Project

Developed by Spanish SMEs EWALA IT SERVICES SL, ASCENSORES TRESA, S.A., and INGENIERIA SAMAT, S.L., the ISTOR project aims to revolutionize the elevator industry by integrating renewable energy, AI-driven management, and smart user interaction to enhance efficiency, security, and sustainability.

Key Achievements

Renewable-Powered Elevator – A fully energy-autonomous system, reducing reliance on traditional power grids.
Cybersecure Smart Management – A Machine Learning (ML)-based platform optimizes energy consumption and usage patterns.
IoT & AI-Powered Maintenance – Predictive error detection and remote management reduce unnecessary on-site visits.
User-Centric Mobile App – Personalization through RFID, WiFi, and Bluetooth improves accessibility and data-driven optimization.
Sustainable Manufacturing – Innovations in materials and processes minimize energy-intensive manufacturing steps like welding and painting.

Impact & Future Prospects

ISTOR not only reduces the carbon footprint of elevators but also lowers maintenance costs, enhances user experience, and promotes a more resilient and energy-efficient urban infrastructure. By optimizing energy storage and smart monitoring, this project paves the way for a new generation of self-sufficient elevators, perfect for remote locations, green buildings, and smart cities.
