Submitted by Josep Casamada on 02 April 2025

The European consortium xBUILD-EU, which aims to foster collaboration between the textile, construction, and advanced technology sectors, conducted a high-level mission to Riyadh (Saudi Arabia) from February 24th to 27th, 2025. The delegation explored the significant market opportunities in Saudi Arabia, particularly in the construction, logistics, and sustainable infrastructure sectors, in line with the country's ambitious Vision 2030 program.

During the mission, consortium members met with key stakeholders such as HUB5 Consulting, Big 5 Construct Saudi, the Advanced Manufacturing Institute at King Saud University, the Federation of Saudi Chambers of Commerce and Industry, and the Fashion Commission. These meetings provided valuable insights into the Saudi regulatory landscape, investment incentives, and the increasing demand for international expertise in areas such as technical textiles, smart construction, and e-commerce solutions.

The visit reaffirmed Saudi Arabia's position as a strategic gateway for European companies seeking to expand in the region, capitalizing on its reforms and infrastructure investments. xBUILD-EU will continue working to facilitate cross-border collaboration and the growth of European SMEs in this key market.
