The Chambre des Métiers du Grand-Duché de Luxembourg is Luxembourg’s chamber for skilled crafts and trades. The chamber represents one in five companies and almost every fourth employee in Luxembourg.

The Chambre des Métiers’ mission is to promote a positive regulatory environment for SMEs and lobby for its members’ interests. Our services to our members span the whole lifetime of a company. They range from providing assistance and counseling during the creation of a company and promoting and ensuring vocational and professional training over providing assistance and information on environmental, technological and innovative matters and offering export assistance to providing assistance on business dissolution or take-over. We inform and raise awareness on existing laws that concern our members and advise the policy makers responsible for those laws. One of our core skills is the ability to address every sector with programs tailored specifically for them, as we do for example with our training program, and to adapt our advice specifically to small and medium-sized traditional companies.

The Chambre des Métiers incorporates the standards of ecoinnovation, circular economy and resource efficiency into all aspects of its services, be it trainings, company creation, or innovation assistance. The Chambre des Métiers has some experience when it comes to encouraging resource and energy efficiency: As a founding member of the SuperDrecksKëscht®, an EU Commission Waste Prevention Best Practice (, the Chambre des Métiers has addressed companies’ waste problem while encouraging them to recycle. The Chamber has also developed a label (“Energie fir d’Zukunft+”) specifically designed to help construction contractors get ready for the entry into force of the passive house standard for all new constructions in Luxembourg on January 1, 2017.
