Cleaner Production in Poland was started in 1989 by UNEP, and developed with co-operation of Norwegian association of engineers (NIF).

They have been acting in the field of Cleaner Production (CP)/Resource Efficiency/Circular Economy, providing: environmental trainings, consultancy and information (websides, social media, newsletter, journal “Cleaner Production and Eco-management”). They are active in many eco-events, like conferences, debates a.s.o.

They have developed an unique training programme, including lecturing and designing/implementation part, addressed mainly for companies, especially for SMEs. It is contemporarily known as Cleaner Production Academy (previously: CP School). During 46 editions, they helped to implement about 750 environmental measures and trained almost 1500 Cleaner Production Experts.

They have established the “Voluntary Environmental Agreements Scheme based on CP”, consisting of two registers for eco-responsible institutions. The upper register, called “The Polish Register of Cleaner Production and Responsible Entrepreneurship” has a high-level Jury, with the Vice-Minister of the Environment as the chairman.
