INPUT PAPER: Cluster Landscape and Collaboration Opportunities in the Southern Mediterranean Region

This input paper presents the economic profile and the cluster landscape of seven selected countries in the Southern Mediterranean (South Med) — Algeria, Egypt, Jordan, Lebanon, Morocco, Palestine1 and Tunisia, which participate in the EU-South Med Matchmaking.2 Whenever the paper refers to South Med, these seven countries are included. This matchmaking event aims to foster collaboration between European clusters, SMEs and South Med Partners in selected key industries. These focus areas include green tech & renewable energy, smart cities & digital technologies, sustainable construction and communications.
