Innovation challenge

Flux50 organises innovation challenges where larger companies present specific problems they are facing. These challenges are published with an open call for global solution providers such as start-ups and scale-ups, but established players are also welcome to submit their solutions. The aim is to encourage collaboration between established companies and solution providers, creating a platform where novel ideas can address real business needs and innovation gaps.

One example was the "Low Voltage Flexibility Challenge" in early 2024. The Elia Group posed several challenges that evolved around the transformation of the energy sector. More than 50 solution providers participated and seven of them won the opportunity to present their solutions at the Transformatie2024 event, an energy conference organised by Flux50.

These challenges bring significant value to both sides. For larger companies, they provide a pre-selection of potential solution providers, simplifying the process of identifying and engaging with innovative partners. For start-ups and scale-ups, these pitch events provide an opportunity to showcase their solutions, gain visibility and explore potential collaborations.
